Motivational Books

I have a rather skeptical view of most modern “motivational” books and self-help literature.

The problem with the self-help industry is that it sells emotion rather than discipline and execution.

Most of these books repeat a single simple idea over 300 pages, wrapped in inspirational anecdotes and pseudo-psychology:
– “Think positive”
– “Wake up at 5 AM”
– “Visualize your goals”

In reality, real results come from boring, consistent daily effort, technical competence, and system architecture — not from reading about someone else’s success story.

If you want to build something meaningful, read engineering manuals, computer science papers, classical literature, or economics textbooks. Action creates motivation, not the other way around.
